quelle: http://darthhater.com/2011/07/21/ea-det ... september/EA Details Beta Test Weekends in September
In conjunction with the preorder event, Electronic Arts released a statement this morning giving fans a better idea of when to expect to be able to get another opportunity to play the game. In what Electronic Arts calls Beta Test Weekends fans will get a chance to play the game starting in September.
As anticipation grows, BioWare also proudly announced today that Star Wars: The Old Republic will open "Beta Test Weekends" starting this September. These weekend play sessions will be open to selected players worldwide and create an opportunity for fans to get a sneak peek of the epic stories, worlds, quests, battles and characters in the game. Please visit http://www.StarWarsTheOldRepublic.com to register for game testing and to stay tuned throughout the summer for more details as they become available.
Dr. Ray Muzuka also comments in the article that they are targeting Holiday 2011 as the launch for The Old Republic.
"We are targeting Star Wars: The Old Republic to be one of the biggest launches of holiday 2011"

Minimum System Requirements
OS
Windows XP, Vista/7
CPU
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+ or better · Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.0GHz or better
RAM
Windows XP: 1.5GB · Windows Vista and Windows 7: 2GB · PCs using a built-in graphical chipset, 2GB RAM recommended.
Video
ATI X1800 or better* · nVidia 7800 or better* · Intel 4100 Integrated Graphics or better*
DVD-ROM
8x or better
*Minimum of 256MB of on-board RAM and Shader 3.0 or better support.
As it seems, folks seem to be having a problem with getting the game in their country. BioWare recommends buying the game from Amazon, there are no country restrictions which is great news for friends TOROcast has in Europe. This is what Stephen Reid had to say on the matter - "For those asking: any player of #SWTOR can choose to play on any server. No restrictions by country, but performance may be impacted."

My friends and I have formed a Pre-Launch Guild via the official website. Will we be able to bring that guild into the Game during Early Game Access?
In order for any guilds created via the Guild Headquarters to be imported into the Game during Early Game Access, at least four members of that guild will have to pre-order the Game, then enter their Pre-Order Codes at the Code Redemption Center. These Pre-Order Codes must be redeemed against the accounts that are part of the guild. The guild leader must also login to the Guild Headquarters at the beginning of Phase 3 of the Guild Pre-Launch Program to verify that their guild remains active and wants to be imported. For more information, please read the Guild FAQ.
Will all three languages be available to choose from in Star Wars: The Old Republic?
Depending on which country you buy your physical edition of Star Wars: The Old Republic in, the language available in your physical edition will vary. Please refer to the list below which identifies which language version of the Game will be available in specific countries. Please note, this list reflects the language included in the final physical edition of the Game in these countries:
Austria (German)
Belgium (French)
Canada (English, French (Quebec only)
Czech Republic (English)
Denmark (English)
Finland (English)
France (French)

Netherlands (English)

How can I play Star Wars: The Old Republic with a language different than the one available in my country?
If you want to play Star Wars: The Old Republic in a language that is not available in your country, you can download one of the other languages via the game patcher at no additional cost during the game installation process.
